Clutch is on a mission to democratize leadership and organizational effectiveness. 

As CEO, CHRO, OD Consultant and Leadership Coach, founders Stephanie Usry and Debbie Ellisen struggled to find tools to help themselves, their organizations and their clients do better work. Clutch was born out of a shared frustration with the lack of accessible, insightful tools for conducting leadership and team assessments that lead to lasting change.

The Clutch Story

As high tech executives, they experienced hundreds of leadership programs. As founders and entrepreneurs, they developed and evangelized tools to support such efforts. And as executive coaches, they guided thousands of CEOs and their teams through organizational effectiveness journeys. They were successful in improving the strategic, cultural and execution skills of their own teams and their clients, but they knew it could be easier.

Available tools are generic and lack a framework by which to take action, resulting in a slow journey toward change. Stephanie and Debbie built Clutch to enable leaders and teams to receive specific feedback against the 15 key skills required to be successful in today’s fast paced environment. Applying modern technology further allows Clutch to be more affordable than relying on legacy processes.
